Wow, who would have thought? Following our article last month and our research into a photograph of the Peskett dairyman we were privileged to meet with Hugh Peskett the grandson of the gentleman in our picture.
During the Who Do You Think You Live 2013 show at Olympia London on Friday 22nd February, Hugh Peskett came in through the main entrance to be faced with a poster of his grandfather amongst the staff of Peskett and son.
TheGenealogist.co.uk had decided to look at archived circa 1900 photographs and research the stories behind the photographs.
These pictures were enlarged and used as part of our display at the show together with the records we had found to accompany the pictures.
TheGenealogist.co.uk was offering free genealogy tutorials throughout the weekend and Mark Bayley (Online Genealogy Expert) dedicated two of the tutorials to “Is a picture is worth a thousand words?” tracing records from Photographs using TheGenealogist.co.uk

He believed the gentleman in the bow tie was his grandfather and one of the ladies in the back row was his mother.
TreeView, available on TheGenealogist.co.uk allowed us to add to a growing tree for the Peskett family and easily see the connection between Hugh Peskett and his grandfather Ernest Peskett, the dairyman.
