  New Pilot Database

MAJOR NEW RELEASE: We have added a new resource for those with aeronautical ancestors. Records include a selection of The Royal Aero Club Yearbooks, which include the years 1914-1918, 1920-1921, and 1924-1926. Also included are many pictures and autobiographies.

We've also released the book "Who's Who in Aviation, 1918" to provide you with even more detail. This joins our other aviation records including "Who's Who in British Aviation 1936" and our Air Force Lists.

These records cover the years of the Great War, so could prove vital to your research.

British Jewry Book of Honour 1914-1918

This roll of honour is now available for all Starter, Gold & Diamond subscribers. It contains over 2,500 records of Jews who fell in the Great War. To search these records, select "Roll of Honour Records" on the search view, or find them under the military section of the master search.

  Complete BMD Transcripts

MAJOR NEW RELEASE:

TheGenealogist has now completed transcribing birth, marriage and death records for England and Wales giving a third of a billion fully searchable records. These are also linked into their unique 'SmartSearch' facility taking you through a person’s life events.

This release marks the completion of a hugely successful project for TheGenealogist, now providing family historians with fully transcribed BMD records dating back to the start of civil registration in 1837.

  Death Transcripts 1880-2005

We have just added over 10 million death transcripts, bringing the total number of death records to over 68 million.

These transcripts can be used with a tool that lets you search across all our Birth, Marriage and Death transcripts, with built in SmartSearch technology, enabling you to find potential parents from a birth, potential children to a marriage and potential birth records from a death record.

  War Memorials - 20,000 new records added

We have added another 20,000 records to our War Memorials, which is the largest name searchable collection of War Memorial photographs. This brings the total to over 120,000, and our collection is quickly growing to offer more coverage. With records ranging from soldiers lost in the Boer War in 1901 to more modern day conflicts such as in Northern Ireland, there are numerous records to access in our War Memorial collection.

  Naturalisation Records - 200,000 new records

Naturalisation Records - 200,000 new records We have added another 200,000 records to our collection of Naturalisation and Denization records. This brings the total to over 350,000, with records ranging from 1609 to 1960. Naturalisation records are an invaluable way of tracking down an ancestor who was born abroad and then settled in the UK. With the political and social upheavals over the last few centuries, many people have made the journey to the UK to start a new life. There's a substantial chance that many family history researchers will discover they have ancestors who originated from overseas.

  Casualty Records

MAJOR NEW RELEASE:

Casualty Records Launched Online

Those wounded, captured, missing in action or killed in the Great War can now be traced. Casualty lists cover all ranks from information published by the war office.

For the launch the Weekly casualty list containing over 600,000 records are available, which will expand to include the daily lists to cover the entirety of world war one.

The current coverage covers the war office’s ‘weekly casualty lists’ from 1917-18 and this will be expanded by the daily casualty lists to cover from September 1914 to the last reports of 1919, as reports were still being published well after the war had officially ceased.

  British Citizenship Records

Over 150,000 unique Naturalisation and Denization Records are now available on TheGenealogist with records ranging from 1609 to 1960, over 300 years worth of rare and hard to find records that are now available for family historians.
