For the first time you can now find marriages from the 1911 census with just one click of the mouse.

Fleet Marriages RG7
Lost a marriage in London or the home counties?
The fleet marriages may hold the information your looking
for.
These are estimated to account for up-to a third of the marriages
that happened in the country during their peak (Commission
of Marriage Law in 1868). Because of the difficult nature
of the records and the lack of a complete index, they are
often overlooked. The majority of the people marrying came
from London, Middlesex, Kent, Essex, Herts, Bucks, Berks,
Surrey and Sussex.
There are about 800,000 people named in the marriage records
and about 2400 people mentioned in baptismal records. This
makes it a substantial set of records that cover the period
1667 to 1777. A proportion of these will be duplicates due
to the nature of the way these are recorded in different documents.
Just search for marriages in the Non-Conformist section of
our databases. |

New Features for Premium Subscribers
Due to popular demand, we've now managed to integrate a surname-only search into the master search system. It is only for premium subscribers (if you only have a trial version, you will need to buy a full subscription to use this feature).
It will allow you to see results per year, then results per county, then the whole list of results (provided there are 50 or less, otherwise you'll need to put in a forename or age).
We've also added database birth, marriage and death records (1984-2004) to the master search.
All customers, including pay-as-you-go, can
also do a surname- or forename-only search in the normal census
transcript county search page provided there are
50 or less results. An advanced search lets you refine and
view the entries. |

Master Search: Search for a name in all our completed census transcripts at once
A number of our subscribers have been asking for a name search on all our databases.
As a major step towards this we have just launched our Master Search which works on all our completed census transcripts - premium subscribers should see the new link on their subscription page.
Just type in a name and you find out approximately how many results there are for each year. Clicking the 'Full Search' button then takes you to a list of results for each county.
If you click to the next level you'll reach the usual county/year search page with all the results for that county.
We hope this will prove a valuable and time-saving feature and as new transcripts are completed we will add them into the master search.
Not got an premium subscription? Use the link on the front page to give the Master Search a try. (Not available if you have already had an premium subscription). |

New Household Search available on Census!
Users of our census transcript searches can now benefit from our new Household View facility. Complimenting the family search tool, household view allows users to view all members of the same household by selecting all records between Heads of household in a folio range.
This feature is available to all users who have a subscription that includes census transcript records. Household view cost 4 credits as opposed to the 3 credits for a Family View. The family View only displays those having the same surname. Please see our credit guide for full credit pricing plans and how the cost of some features has been reviewed. This is to help us provide you with new services & databases.

New Search Features
We are adding two useful search features to as many of our indexes and transcripts as possible:
Name Variants
Use this option to search for different spellings of a name. For example, Bailey and Bayley. This technique uses the phonetical sound of the word to find similar sounding matches.
Nicknames
Use this option to search for nicknames which may have been used instead of the standard name - for example Betty, Betsy, Beth or Liz for Elizabeth.
Indexes which have these features will show a checkbox alongside the appropriate name entry fields so you can include them if you wish. |
