This section contains a variety of data from other categories of research material, which can often help broaden your research. One of the most useful will tell you how much land your ancestors owned, although it doesn't tell you precisely where it is, only the county.

English & Welsh Landowners 1873

This 19th century tax survey provides an index to all individuals who owned 1 acre or more of land in 1873. It is arranged alphabetically by County where the land is situated, so their may be holdings in more than one county. It provides the Name of the owner: their address (town or village only); how much land they owned in the County and its gross estimated rental value.

Knights of England 1127 to 1904

If your ancestors were knighted you can trace them back hundreds of years.
