MAJOR NEW RELEASE: 75% of the 1911 Census images online
For those of you eager to see the census for your area we have indexed the images by County and Parish corresponding to the registration area. You can then choose the Enumeration District number and the page you would like to look at. There is a step-by-step guide on how to use the 1911 Census image viewer within our research guide.
This is not for the faint hearted as there can be a lot of images to view in urban areas. If you are unsure of the page or ED number, you can simply start at the beginning and work your way through the images. We have 49 out of the 62 counties available, with the rest to follow shortly.

MAJOR NEW RELEASE:
TheGenealogist.co.uk has launched the Convict Transportation Registers 1787-1867 with details of over 123,000 of the estimated 160,000 convicts transported to Australia during the 18th and 19th centuries. These are transcripts with access to images.
The records mainly include those convicted in England, Wales and Scotland, but also include a small number of Irish convicts. The database also includes soldiers who had been court-martialed and sentenced to transportation. These 'soldier convicts' may have been convicted in various British colonies, including the West Indies, Canada, India, and Pakistan. You'll find these records in the British & International section of your research view.
We have just launched two new pre-1841 censuses for Marylebone in London: 1821 & 1831 detailing the surname of the head of household & street name. To search these new records, simply select the london census from the research view and then change the year to 1821 or 1831.
